Hello

My enthusiasm for quilting came about when I joined the New Malden Quilters Association, UK.  Here I met like minded individuals who were enthusiastic, passionate and happy to share their skill, knowledge and enjoyment of quilting.  These ladies soon became my quilting friends and un-beknown to them I found creative inspiration, motivation and support from each and every one of them.   One lady, in particular, encouraged me to challenge myself and to her I am extremely grateful.

In looking through my website and gallery, you will notice that most of my work is modern and the dominant theme is colour and my heritage.  In African culture, colour is beautiful, bold, highly valued and generally depicts something unique while at the same time sharing a narrative. The more colour the more uplifting, inspired and alive we all feel.

Quilting started out as therapy for me and during that time I learnt the basics, attended workshops by well known Quilters, watched YouTube, read books, played, created and in so doing acquired my knowledge.  Patchwork & Quilting has had a profound impact on my life by giving me a sense of purpose.

I'm no quilt designer or textile artist.  I am just an enthusiast, passionate about my hobby, energetic, eager and willing to share ideas, skill and knowledge whilst piecing quilts and sewing new friendships for the future.

Besides, I enjoy playing chess, reading, listening to music, partaking in form of water sports, cycling, gardening and much more.
